‘Grace of Aberdeen’ is a typical Danish fishing vessel from 1925 by Soren Larsen of Denmark. For us she is a superb platform for our activities: a safe ship with a great atmosphere, ample deck space and room for guests. Her respectable age makes her a proof of sustainability.
Converted to a yacht in 1989, she has worked as a very successful charter yacht in the Solent and Bristol Channel under the name ‘Tangaroa’. In 2013 she was bought by Sea Sanctuary, a Cornish mental health charity, that uses sailing successfully as part of their activities. The charity carried out a
major refit between 2013-2015 where the hull was totally re-caulked, some planks replaced and refastened as necessary. The interior was also changed considerably so that the guests would be more comfortable, along with many more technical overhauls. We feel really blessed with Grace!
